‘Arthur’ is bred at the Polli Horticultural Research Centre by Arthur and Eevi Jaama. It is grown from the seed of open pollinated (1965) ‘Krasavitsa’. Application for registration registered 05.03.2004, variety is in DUS (registration trials).

Ripens: midseason.

Cherry is large, heart shaped. The skin is blackish red. The flesh is dark red, medium firm, juicy, sweet and sour, very tasty. The juice is dark red. The stone can be easily separated from the flesh.

Tree is vigorous, with a spreading pyramidal crown. A good bearer, self-unfruitful, pollinated by ‘Leningradskaja Tšornaja’ and ‘Tõmmu’. Winter hardy. Disease resistance is good.
